Terms of Service
The terms for using hivein.ai and the hivein app: your account, the applications you connect, AI output, acceptable use and liability.
1. This agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and the operators of hivein (“hivein”, “we”, “us”) for your use of hivein.ai and the hivein app at app.hivein.ai (together, “the service”). By using the service you accept them. If you use it for an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept them for that organisation.
hivein is not yet a registered company; these terms will name the company once it is. How we handle your data is set out in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
2. The service
hivein lets you build copilots that connect to the applications you use, answer questions about them and take actions you approve. The service is in beta: it is free, it will change as we build it, and we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors.
3. Your account
You must be at least 18 to use the service. Keep your sign-in secure, give accurate information, and tell us at sales@hivein.ai if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
4. Connecting your applications
When you connect an application — Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, a database or any other — you authorise hivein to access it within the permissions you approve, to carry out what you and your copilots ask. Only connect accounts and data you are entitled to use. The application’s own terms still apply to your use of it, and you can disconnect it at any time.
Our use of data received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Your content
You keep all rights in your content and in the data of the applications you connect. You give us permission to store, process and transmit it only as needed to provide the service to you — including sending it to the AI model providers that generate your copilots’ responses. We claim no ownership of it.
6. AI output and actions
Copilot answers are generated by AI models and can be incomplete or wrong. Check anything important before relying on it. Actions that change your systems are shown to you for confirmation before they run; you are responsible for the actions you approve and for how you use what the service produces.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the service to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone else’s rights;
- access accounts, systems or data you are not authorised to access;
- send spam or other unsolicited bulk messages through a connected account;
- create or spread malware, or content that is abusive, deceptive or harmful;
- probe, overload or interfere with the service, or get around its limits and safeguards — if you find a security problem, please report it to sales@hivein.ai instead;
- copy or reverse-engineer the service, except where the law allows it.
8. Fees
The service is free during the beta. If we introduce paid plans, we will tell you in advance, and nothing will be charged unless you agree to it.
9. Third-party services
The service works with applications and AI models run by other companies. We are not responsible for those services, their availability or their terms, and a change on their side can change what hivein can do.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or to protect the service or its users, telling you first where it is reasonable to do so.
11. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available” while it is in beta. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises about it beyond those in these terms.
12. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow to be limited. If you are a consumer, you also keep the rights the law gives you, which these terms do not affect.
Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business or data, or for any indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the greater of £100 and the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for a material change we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you may also have the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and be able to bring a claim in its courts.
