hivein for ERPNext
Query ERPNext DocTypes, from Sales Order to Stock Entry, without building a report for each question.
hivein will call the Frappe REST API at /api/resource with an API key and secret issued to a dedicated ERPNext user, so every request runs under that user's roles and permission levels.

Read any DocType through one endpoint
The same resource route serves Sales Order, Item, Customer or a DocType your team invented, with fields, filters, order_by and limit_page_length deciding what comes back.
Learn the site's own DocTypes
The DocType metadata describes each field, its type and its options, including Custom Fields and the Property Setter tweaks made through Customize Form. Reading that first is what lets a question about a bespoke field resolve at all.
Follow order to cash
Sales Order, Delivery Note, Sales Invoice and Payment Entry are linked documents, and docstatus separates drafts from submitted and cancelled ones. Questions about what is billed but unpaid come straight off that chain.
Check stock by warehouse
Bin holds actual, reserved and projected quantity per item and warehouse, with Stock Entry and Stock Ledger Entry behind every movement.
Work the pre-sales side
Lead, Opportunity and Quotation carry status, source and owner, so pipeline questions do not need a saved report set up in advance.
It will read your ERPNext data model, not a generic one.
The schema is read first, so a question that spans two of these is one question, not two lookups.

Where do the API key and secret come from?
Any ERPNext user can be issued an API key and secret from their User document, and hivein will use a dedicated user for the connection. Calls are then checked against that user's roles and permission levels, so you decide what it can see.
Do our custom DocTypes work?
A custom DocType is served by the same resource route as a standard one, and its metadata describes its fields. Nothing about your app has to be hard-coded into the connector.
Does it work on Frappe Cloud and self-hosted sites?
The REST API belongs to the Frappe framework rather than to any particular hosting, so both are treated the same. A self-hosted site only needs its URL to be reachable from hivein.
